Length of time in training depends upon number of staff, number of modules to be covered, and the depth of teaching/proficiency desired—anything from a one-day workshop to three weeks of in-depth training. It is always recommended that training take place when the principals are not in residence.

A full course to establish butler service and train those new to the profession, or train other staff in the superior butler-style service, is recommended to take 3 weeks. Great strides, however, can be made in shorter time periods if desired.

All training programs include additional elements as follows:

  • Initial observation and interviews to understand the needs and wants of the employers and how these are or are not being met;
  • One-on-one counseling (available from a handful of trainers) and assessment of staff;
  • Graduation with certificates;
  • A full report with recommendations;
  • Ongoing long distance support thereafter as requested.

Fees are dependent upon the trainer assigned.
